Copyright / DMCA Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

DPViewer respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. DPViewer itself does not host, store, or permanently retain any video, photo, or profile picture - every request simply fetches a copy of content that a platform like Instagram is already serving publicly, and nothing is kept on our servers afterward. That said, we take copyright complaints seriously and will respond to valid notices.

Our position on content ownership

The creator of a video or photo retains all rights to it. DPViewer does not grant any license to reproduce, redistribute, or commercially use content accessed through the Service. Using DPViewer to fetch a copy of a public post does not change who owns the copyright in that content - see our Terms of Service for more detail.

If you are a rights holder

If you believe that functionality on DPViewer has been used to access or facilitate access to your copyrighted work in a way that infringes your rights, you can send us a notice. To be effective, your notice should include:

  1. A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed;
  2. The specific Instagram (or other platform) URL or link involved;
  3. Your contact information (name, email address, and, if applicable, physical address);
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  5. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf;
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Send notices to [email protected]. We will review valid notices and take appropriate action, which may include restricting the Service's ability to fetch the content in question.

The most effective step: report it to the platform

Because DPViewer doesn't host any content, removing a post from the originating platform is almost always the fastest and most effective remedy. If your content was posted on Instagram without your permission, we strongly recommend reporting it directly through Instagram's own reporting tools, which can remove the post at the source - rather than, or in addition to, contacting us.

Repeat infringement

We reserve the right to restrict or deny access to the Service for anyone we determine, in our discretion, to be using it to repeatedly access or facilitate infringement of copyrighted material.

Counter-notice

If you believe content was restricted in error or as a result of misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the email below describing the basis for your belief. We will review counter-notices in good faith.
