Snapchat Snapcode lookup
Look up a Snapchat account's public Snapcode
Paste any Snapchat username. Worth knowing upfront: Snapchat doesn't publish a real profile photo or Bitmoji anywhere on the open web - the only public image an account's page exposes is a scannable Snapcode, which is what you'll get here. No login required.
How it works
Three steps, no account required.
-
01
Paste the profile
Drop in a Snapchat username, or the full profile link - either works.
-
02
We fetch what's public
Only data the profile already shows anyone: its photo and its public details. Nothing more.
-
03
View or save it
See it full-size right in your browser, or download the image directly.
Documentation
The details behind how a lookup actually works.
What you can paste in
Any of these work in the lookup field:
- A plain username, with or without the @ -
teamsnapchat - A full link -
snapchat.com/add/teamsnapchat
Why this isn't a real photo
Snapchat's public profile page only exposes a scannable Snapcode image for link previews - never the account's actual photo or Bitmoji. That's a deliberate Snapchat design choice, not something we can work around while staying within what the account already shares publicly.
Public usernames only
Only Snapchat accounts with a public, discoverable username have a page to look up. Whatever that page publicly shows - Snapcode included - is all this can ever return.
Fair use
The tool is free for personal, one-at-a-time lookups. To keep it fast and reliable for everyone, please don't run automated bulk lookups against it - that's the kind of load that gets a shared tool rate-limited or blocked for everyone.
Questions people actually ask
Is DPViewer affiliated with Snapchat?
No. DPViewer is an independent tool and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Snapchat or Meta.
Can I view the profile photo of a private account?
No. DPViewer only reads what a profile already shares publicly. Private accounts stay private - that's between the account and its followers.
Will the profile owner know I looked them up?
No. Lookups are anonymous, the same way viewing a public profile in a browser is.
Is the photo actually full resolution?
Yes. DPViewer fetches the same source image Snapchat stores, not the small cropped circle shown in the app.
Do you store the photos or usernames I look up?
No. Nothing is saved on our servers - each lookup is fetched fresh and discarded once you're done.
Is DPViewer free to use?
Yes, viewing and downloading a public profile photo is free.
